This Greek Revival mansion was constructed in 1836 for furniture maker and alderman Alvah Kittredge. By the latter part of the 1900s, it had deteriorated significantly and was eventually abandoned for more than 20 years. Historic Boston, Inc. partnered with Metric to take on the monumental task of restoring the crumbling 180-year-old building, made even more difficult by its designation as a historic place. The building was restored it to its original beauty and now consists of five new units, two of which are affordable.
